Halloween Concert

30 – 31 Oct 2023

There are just a few months left to put the finishing touches to your masks, costumes and make-up. This year, the ghosts are deserting the Opéra: for two consecutive evenings, the Salle Poirel becomes the haunt of every hellish creature imaginable.

Elves, monsters, harpies, whirligigs and leprechauns, gargoyles and skeletons come to chase away their dark thoughts in a musical feast where getting spooked is the best way to bring a smile to your face. It's hard to say what will come out of this year's grinning pumpkin, brought to you by conductor William Le Sage, the Opéra national de Lorraine Orchestra and its fully-fledged Phantom Chorus...

But there's no doubt you'll be chattering your teeth (with fear and laughter) and shaking your head (with fright and pleasure) at this concert where everyday life is turned upside down, bursting at the seams with countless surprises!
