Musica in Nancy

On the occasion of its 40th edition, the Strasbourg-based festival is settling down in Nancy for a weekend. An unprecedented collaboration with the Opéra national de Lorraine and other cultural actors in Nancy, which guides the audience towards works that are generous, accessible and powerful at the same time. From Steve Reich's masterpieces (Different Trains, Proverb and Tehilim) to Sivan Eldar's opera Like flesh, a trajectory is traced. Along the way, we come across the tutelary figures of Charles Ives and György Ligeti, the late George Crumb who died at the beginning of the year, the hypnotic Gavin Bryars, as well as the faces of the new generation with Caroline Shaw and Mathieu Corajod.
