Extension of Marta Gardolińska as Musical Director of Opéra national de Lorraine until the 2025-2026 season

Opéra national de Lorraine is pleased to announce the extension of Marta Gardolińska's contract as Musical Director up to and including the 2025-2026 season.

This extension is linked to the renewal of General Director Matthieu Dussouillez's to head the institution until 2026, decided by its Executive Board in 2023. It also follows on from the artistic successes of the last three seasons, and the excellent musical dynamic instilled in the Opéra national de Lorraine's driving forces.

As part of her duties, Marta Gardolińska conducts concerts with the Opéra national de Lorraine Orchestra, as well as one or two opera productions per season.

Marta Gardolińska, who has conducted in Nancy Zemlinsky's Görge le rêveur, Messager's Fortunio, Paderewski's Manru, Verdi's La Traviata and Haydn's La Création, is keen to continue to contribute to the Opéra national de Lorraine's outreach and excellence.

The renewal of this partnership will also enable to continue the journey through musical Europe at the time of Art Nouveau, highlighting the intimate and historic link between Nancy and Poland through the development of Polish repertoire, as well as the development of the Romantic lyrical repertoire with emblematic productions.

Marta Gardolińska will soon conduct the Opéra national de Lorraine Orchestra with Alexandre Gattet on oboe for the concert La Mer on May 16 and 17 at salle Poirel in Nancy.
