Back to school for teachers at the Opéra!

Teachers also returned to the Opéra on Wednesday September 13. Many of them attended the day's meetings to prepare their students for the first two programs of the season.

Discover the Orchestra

The first classes took up Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony no. 6 in F major, Op. 68, known as the Pastoral, during workshops led by the Opéra's Artistic Director, Cora Joris. This first event will take them and their classes to a commented concert by the Opéra Orchestra on Friday, October 13. During this participatory concert, conductor Marta Gardolińska, the Orchestra and Cora Joris will guide the students in the discovery of the work, in theory and practice!

Discover the opera

The second-year students also make their musical debut with Idoménée, roi de Crête, the first semi-staged opera of the season. During this meeting, jointly hosted by Fedoua Bayoudh, head of the Artistic and Cultural Education Department, and Pierre-Emmanuel Kuntz, DAAC-Académie Nancy-Metz's teaching officer, teachers are the first partners to be taken behind the scenes of the production, and to meet our director Lorenzo Ponte. They will be able to guide their students, from the first to the last grade, on a lyrical journey that will be full of encounters.

Thank you to them for being our ambassadors to young audiences!
