Discover the Opera for a whole day!

The Opéra national de Lorraine is opening its doors to you for Tous à l'Opéra on Saturday, May 6 from 9am to 6:30pm! Come and meet the people behind the scenes who work together every day to expand your imagination...

You will discover the work of our lighting directors, our stagehands, our stage managers and our costume designers. You will also have the opportunity to hear our artists from the Operas Choir and Orchestra with three free chamber music concerts. And, after a drink in the Public Foyer or a stroll through the Opera House, why not participate in the "Discover your voice" workshop with our Choir director or try out a musical instrument with a musician?

On the program:

BIG ROOM
Free admission without reservation

• 9:30-10:30: Conference, lights
  How do lighting effects work? What are the different types of projectors? Come and discover the jobs of the lighting directors and electricians!
   
• 11h30-12h & 14h-14h30 : Chamber music concerts with the musicians of the Opera Orchestra
   
• 3pm-4:30pm: Conference, the stagehands
  How do stagehands, benders and prop makers work on stage? How does a spinner work? Discover the jobs of the stage machinery!
   
• 5:30-6:30 pm: Chamber music concert with the artists of the Opera Choir

  An opportunity to discover the know-how of the Opera's costume workshop

WORKSHOPS ON REGISTRATION
Meeting place in the main hall of the Opera

• "Lost note" treasure hunt
  Help us! The Opera has a problem: a singer has lost a note and tomorrow is the opening night! Help us find her through various enigmas to be solved in the backstage of the Opera...
  (10am, 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm , 4pm, 5pm - all slots are now full) - all public from 6 years old, all minors must be accompanied, 10 people per group
• "Discover your voice" workshop with Guillaume Fauchère, director of the Opera Choir
  (9:45 am, 10:15 am, 10:45 am) duration: 30 minutes - from 16 years old 
   
• Workshop "Discover musical instruments" 
  (trumpet with François Lachaux : 2:45 pm, violin with Marie Lambert : 3:30 pm, oboe with Pierre Colombain : 4:15 pm - all slots are now full) duration : 30 minutes - all public from 6 years old, all minors must be accompanied
