Opera for the youngest

Music has no age! Trust your young audiences: They will be able to take in all the lyrical and symphonic riches that Lorraine National Opera is ready to offer them! This season we will be accompanying you throughout this endeavour.

Shows for young and old

The Opéra Berceau | 12 appointments in the year - at the Opera (from 6 months to 3 years). Treat your children to an opera ride! Little ones and their caregivers are immersed in their very first opera in a magical operatic experience.

The Haunted Museum I Mon. Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 from 6:30 p.m. - Museum-Aquarium (from 7 years old). Halloween, a thousand leagues under the sea? It's a time of mysteries, unknown civilizations, sea monsters and stranded ships. Come in costume and take part in this ecological fable!

Peter and the wolf | Fri. Nov. 25 at 6pm and Sat. Nov. 26 at 11am - salle Poirel (from 4 years old). The historic success of Peter and the Wolf is not a matter for adults. It is indeed children who have been enthusiastically embracing this musical tale for almost 100 years! But when the artist Bogdan Hatisi takes this classic work in hand, the tale and the Orchestra take on funny and impertinent colors.

Without drum | Tue. Jan. 10 at 8 p.m., and Wed. Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. - Théâtre de la Manufacture (from 12 years old). Musical theater is a perfect art form for a first musical experience. This show deals with the structuring themes for young audiences of (re)construction after uprooting and abandonment.

Le Fabulatographe I Tue. 28 Feb. at 6pm - Salle Poirel (from 4 years old). When the raven and the fox take the stage, all dreams are allowed! The eyes and ears are in effervescence in an enchanting cine-concert.

Le Concert des jeunes gens | Thu. 13 and Fri 14 April at 6 pm, Sat 15 April at 11 am - Salle Poirel (from 4 years old). Who hasn't dreamed of being taken by the hand to understand what seems out of reach? The Young People's Concerts are a magic formula to enter into music, especially the unfamiliar. The artists Amandine Meyer, Thomas Enhco and the writer Nicolas Mathieu will be our guides in this concert for everyone.

Everyone at the Opera! I From May 5 to 7 - free. Literally, everyone at the Opera! Take part in the numerous activities that have been specifically organised for you.

Tous en Chœur ! | Thu. 8 and Fri. 9 June at 7pm, free - L'Octroi. Why do composers so often choose to include children's voices in operas? To answer this question, imagine your child singing among two hundred other children. The emotion provoked by young voices is prodigious and rightly interests composers. This participatory concert promises an unforgettable moment for the young singers, the Opera Orchestra and their audience.
